Guest Blog

One of our favourite photographers here at Gul Bude is the very talented Morgan Maassen, who we've mentioned before. We like him because he appears to spend his life travelling and taking photographs. It's a life we quite like the sound of so it's nice to 'virtually' follow him round. In that respect, we're like a raggedy little orphaned mongrel, being fed visual treats which make us smile and inclined to keep sleeping on his rug...
He's only just updated his website with lots of delicious, new shots.

Millie Marotta

I'm aware we haven't done a 'Blog Of The Week' for a bit so today I'm going to recommend a past favourite, Morgan Maassens photo blog, as I think he's about to start a little set on Puerto Escondido. Should be tasty. But what I really want to devote your attention to today, if I may, is the website of Millie Marotta. Not only does she have a very cool name, she's also an accomplished artist, with a doodle of hers currently appearing on the back of the lastest Huck magazine. It's simple, hip and we really like it. In fact, it's now our desktop wallpaper here at Gul Bude, but don't tell her we nicked it off her website... C

p.s. Look out for our 'Bude Surf Heritage' photo competition, coming later this week x

Desert Hi-Tops

A Palm Springs entry from our favourite snap blogger in the US, Morgan Maassen. That's Mount San Jacinto you can see in the photo. I took a cable car up the side of that mountain. Second steepest cable car in the world apparently. Warrants a second pair of pants too - spooky stuff.
Below is a photo I took from the top. That's Palm Springs far too far below.

Treats for the Eyes

It's been a little flat of late, so to get my kicks outside of work I've been digesting this lovely little blog by photographer Morgan Maassen. Have a browse, reminds me that we have a lovely warm Summer coming.
